Hi, I have been browsing threads that treat a problem similar to the one I am about to describe; i've tried the solutions these threads explain but have not gotten adequate results.
The message I've recieved upon clicking the red security center shield is the following:
"An exception has ocurred while trying to execute "Shell32.dll, Control_RunDLL wscui.cpl"
So far, I've uninstalled and re-installed SP3, copied wscui.cpl from other computers onto mine, ran multiple malware detection softwares, but to no result.
I downloaded Security Essentials and it doesn't even start. I asume this is a result of security center being disabled.
If this behaviour of MSE can be the result of something else, I'd appreciate some word on it, so far the support communities and technical support (on MSE) have given no tips of advice on what the problem can be.
Can someone provide me with some steps to solve or figure whats going on?
