SCEP 2012 Customization of Email Alerts? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've got SCCM 2012 with SCEP, and I've currently got email alerts set up for malware infections.  However, I'd like to customize the alert itself; the email subject line, the body of the email, etc.  I've done some googling, but haven't found anything beyond how to enable the existing alerts in SCCM.

Ideally, I'd like to put the system name of the system that's prompting the alert in the subject line; that way, I can have an email alert that says "Malware Detection Alert: System X" or something similar.  I'd also like to customize the body of the email, so that instead of just listing all infections in the last 24 hours with the most recent one first, it more explicitly calls out that this is an alert about this particular system, and the other entries are just for situational awareness.  Is there a way to customize these notifications?  Thanks!

  • I am looking to customize the malware alerts as well.  I would assume we have to hack the SQL DB to get at the email configuration.  Anybody else still looking or have the answer?
