Windows 7 validation errors on almost every software RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I recently, downloaded Windows 7 professional from MSDN, I have a valid key. After I installed windows 7 I repeatedly get validation error on the following softwares:

    Internet explorer

    windows explorer

    skype

    Izarc

    Eclipse

    the error is like:

    NAMEOFSOFTWAER.exe encountered a validation error

    process name:   NAMEOFSOFTWAER.exe

    Module name: KERNELBASE.dll

    Assert offset:00013F62

I searched on line, but most of the discussions on validation errors of windows 7 were around internet explorer, but I have this error on other softwares as well.

I am sure that the version of my windows and my key are both valid and legal. I checked if I have bad sector on my disk and I did`nt, I also did a full scan for virus and I did not have any virus.

Would you please check in to this problem and guide me to resovle it,

    Thanks,

    Laleh

  • Hi! Turns out, I downloaded the debug/checked version when I should have downloaded Windows 7 with Service Pack 1 without the debug. I'm currently downloading the correct one, hopefully this will resolve the issue!

  • Hi,

I'm having exactly the same issue as you. I downloaded Windows 7 from MSDNAA two days ago. I'm getting the same validation error messages as you are. Here's a link to a question I posted on another website, haven't had any responses yet though.

  • Downloaded the debugged service pack and getting the same problems. Trying to download the standard version now but wont allow me to do this since I have already used up my download.

"The item cannot be added to your cart: you have made a previous purchase of this item (or a related item) and cannot buy it again."

Is there a way around this?

To properly analyse and solve problems with Activation and Validation, we need to see a full copy of the report produced by the MGADiag tool (download and save to desktop - http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 )
    Once saved, run the tool.
Click on the Continue button, which will produce the report.
To copy the report to your response, click on the Copy button in the tool (ignore any error messages at this point), and then paste (using either r-click/Paste, or Ctrl+V ) into your response.
      - **in your own thread**, please

Please also state the Version and Edition of Windows quoted on your COA sticker (if you have one) on the case of your machine, but do NOT quote the Key on the sticker!
