Unable to connect to Server (IIS) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Just trying to see is anyone has seen this issue previously, and has a fix. I am wanting to install sharepoint on a Vista Home Premium (SP1) machine, but each time I try to use my IIS manager to connect, i get an error message.
Anyway, here is the issue am getting. In IIS manager, each time I try to connect to the server, I get this error
"Unable to connect to server ____, The target server does not have FTP installed, and you cannot manage an IIS 7.0 Web server by using IIS (6.0) Manager"
...However, when I open windows features to enable FTP, I find that there is no FTP item under Internet Information Services option. How can I get this option in, or how can resolve this issue overall?
I would appreciate any ideas that can help to resolve this issue...thanks.
