Windows takes long time to shut down because you may run many applications background. Windows need kiss these applications process first. You can go to task manger to check which process occupied large CPU or memory. And when you want to shutdown the PC, you’d better close the application first.
Furthermore, you can try to modify the kill time when shutdown:
Note: You’d better backup the registry before change it.
1. Click on Start.
2. Open Run command and type regedit.
3. In the regedit go at the following Location:
4. In the right pane, right click on WaitToKillServiceTimeout and click on Modify.
5. Type in a number between 2000-20000 (2-20 seconds) and click on OK.
6. Now Close regedit.
7. Restart your Pc.
Hope that helps.

Leo, Thanks for replying.
I have tried doing this by modifying servicetimeout control to 2 seconds on the process I suspect. I have collected few performance logs from the pc. Can you help me in analysing them?
I have seen same kind of issues with 15 pc's recently.
