Windows DX11

    Question

  • hi everyone, well running "dxdiag" its says its Direct X 11 Version, so my question is...
which is really the difference between DX10 and DX11?
or its even possible to run DX11 with the Video card or we need an upgrade ( like from DX9 to DX10 ) since im about to get a new video card ( 9600GT ) or better wait for a DX11 Support card?

    Cheers!

I don't think we'll see anything take advantage of it for quite some time though.

  • Dont know yet , but i havent seen that much of a difference with my Geforce 9800 GX2 , the only difference is that on Vista i get a higher performance score than the 4.1 im getting with Windows 7.

  • Heh thats low compared to my 6.5 with a 4850 lol. Nvidia doesn't work well for Dx10.

This is to be expected as Windows 7 scores up to 7.9 instead of the 5.9 on Vista... Also that's been written down somewhere either in the Dialog where it shows the Score or on the Windows 7 FAQ somewhere...

  • The graphics card can also be used for stuff other than processing graphics, or something like that.
