    Question

  • Hello, for my diascanner canon canoscan 2700F do I need an aspidriver.
In the net I find only aspi for Win98 2000 and XP and I can`t install it in Win 7.
Has anybody an idear what I can do to use my Diascanner in Win 7?
    Thank you

  • Aspi? It's an eternity since I heard this last time. But anyway: Unless someone has a workaround, i'm afraid you're out of look. Both Canon and Adaptec only support drivers / aspi layers up to XP for your device. The latest aspi layer (4.71) is from 2002!

  • I just stumbled on this thread, hope you're still looking at it.  Try Vuescan from Hamrick Software.  The software has it's own drivers for some ASPI-reliant SCSI scanners (such as the older Nikon CoolScan scanners), it may have a driver for your scanner as well.  The most current version is compatible with Vista and Windows 7.
