How to make specific IE sites not ask for permission to run Java with GPO RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I am unable to find a GPO that will make internet explorer not have the pop-up asking to run java on the page. I want java to run automatically on certain pages because I'm having issues with users clicking "disable" on the java pop up and then wondering why the page does not load correctly. I'm aware of the "java permissions" gpo that lets you chose the security level but after messing with it the result is the same.

  • Hello,

As far as I know there is no Group Policy Object (GPO) for controlling Java "popups" within Internet Explorer.

The only way that I know of is to configure the Java permissions just as you mentioned, from some research there appears to be some ways but it will require some workarounds.

    Here's an example:

Managing Java - Disable Prompts via GPO

How to: Take control of Java on your network

    Best regards,
    Leon
