"Get Started" greyed out under "Get Insider Preview Builds" RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

I am enrolled in the Windows 10 Insider program. I wanted to get the latest build so I could play around with the Windows Game Pass beta, but I discovered that I didn't have access -- When I checked in the "Get Insider Preview Builds" from "Settings," it was greyed out:

I tried troubleshooting guides I found online, including running of the Group Policy Editor (gpedit.msc) to allow full access to data collection. I'm not sure what else to do. Any thoughts?

  • In Start Search type  gpedit.msc and hit the enter key.

In the Group Policy Editor, go to Computer Configuration/Administrative Templates/Windows Components/Data Collection and Preview Builds.

Find the Allow Telemetry item and double-click it to edit the policies.

Change the setting to Enabled. Change the drop-down menu entry to 3 - Full and click Apply.

Now open the item again and change the Setting to Not configured and hit the Save button.

    Reboot and check.
