"Create Virtual Machine" missing from menu bar.

  • I upgraded from Vista x64 Ultimate to Windows 7 x64 Ultimate, installed Virtual PC for 7 (KB958559-x64) and Windows XP Mode.  When I open the Virtual Machines folder I only have Organize, Include in Library, Share With, Burn, and New Folder on the menu bar. Create virtual machine is missing.  Right clicking does not bring up an option for creating a new virtual machine.  Before upgrading I did uninstall Virtual Server 2005 R2 from this machine. Any ideas?  Thanks.

  • Thanks, did a search but didn't find that but I did just find a quicker way that worked for me.  In the Virtual Machines folder I went (Alt)-Tools-Folder Options-(View Tab), Reset Folders.  The Create Virtual machine magically appeared on the menu bar!
