I installed Windows 7 today and, after configuring other basic things, took my customary step of trying to fully replace Notepad with Notepad2. Sadly enough, I have been thwarted by access-denial at every turn here. Even running as administrator doesn't seem to be doing me any good: I set up a simple batch-file to replace all existing instances of Notepad, then ran it under an elevated command-prompt. I even tried manually editing the permissions for a single instance of Notepad, to no avail.
