KB4507435 not available for download RRS feed

  • Question

  • We are looking to rollout KB4507435 as detailed in CVE-2019-1125 to our 1803 Win10 clients.  However, that update has not been made available for x64 - only x86 and ARM64.  These other versions were released on July 9.  Is the x64 update ever to be released?  Or is it simply not applicable?  A similar update is available for the 1607, 1703 and 1809 versions so I'm finding it difficult to believe that 1803 wouldn't need it.

    Thanks

  • When I search for KB4507435 in the All Software Updates node of my ConfigMgr console, I see the x64 version as well as the x86 and ARM64 versions. They all have the same Date Released/Revised date of July 9th, 2019. Not sure how you could be seeing the others but not the x64 unless there was a very specific WSUS sync error that occurred. Have you checked the wsyncmgr.log?

  • Hi,

As we can see below, Microsoft has release KB4507435 for x64, x86 and ARM64. For some reason, you seem to have missed the x64 update.

We can import it to SCCM from the catalog.
    Reference: https://www.systemcenterdudes.com/sccm-add-microsoft-update-catalog-wsus-server/

Or download it from Catalog and then deploy it as an Application or Package via SCCM.
    Reference: https://www.alexandreviot.net/2014/10/14/configmrg-2012-deploy-kb-using-application/

In addition, KB4507435 has been replaced by KB4507466, we can install KB4507466 directly.

    Hope above information helps.

    Best Regards,
    Tina

  • Importing an update that should already be in the catalog is not a recommended path and has caused issues in the past. OP should check their WSUS to confirm whether the update exists in the WSUS catalog or not and whether its been accidentally declined.
