windows 8 will not boot from cd/dvd

  • hi,

Windows 8 OS downloaded from VLSC site. But after burning it to dvd, dvd will not be booted. Burned with different software, but it giving same error. So we installed the windows 8 to another hdd by connecting as a extra hdd (made as primary partition). But after that also it is not booting without that old hdd. If both hdd exists (one with other OS like win xp or vista and another with win8), then it asks for select  win8 or earlier version of win8. If we select win8, then only win8 will boot. If we remove that win xp or vista hdd, the win8 will not boot. How to boot ?? someone help pl

Also If repaired the win8 after installing any software, after repairing the s/w will automatically removed.

    thank u

  • Because the boot engines of all systems will be put in one location. In this case it should be on one of the other two HDDs in that computer. Try to boot with a USB flash drive. Set the HDD as Active. Then run Startup Repair to rebuild the BCD.
