W10 GPO settings RRS feed

  • Hello - I am attempting to create a Win 10 locked down kiosk (unfortunately inbuilt w10 kiosk has been tested and does not meet requirements) and have completed the majority of the configuration, whether its a gpo or registry setting and it is looking good. I have two remaining settings that I am stumped on that I was hoping someone can shed some light on for me.

    I need to:

    1. Hide File Explorer and Settings buttons from the start menu for the kiosk user, using registry or gpo

    2. Disable the ability to start applications when clicking start. (ie click on start and then type powershell/cmd/calc etc we don't want the applications to start or to be searched for)

    I have disabled search service and reviewed and tested a lot gpo settings but haven't been able to resolve. Hope someone has haf better luck than me!
