How to exclude one machine from updates? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I am testing an in-place upgrade TS from win7 to win10, and I would like to exclude this test machine from receiving updates over sccm. How can I do this?

    Cheers!

  • You can exclude the test machine from deployed collection

Create exclude collection and add the test machine and exclude this collection from update deployment collection

  • Hi,

The easiest way is to create first a new device collection that contains all test machines, adding the test machine in question to this collection, then go to the device collection on which you deploy software updates and exclude the Test device collection.

To exclude a device collection: Right click on the device collection, Properties, Membership Rules, Add Rule, Exclude Collections.
