Accessing share prompts for credentials with "system detected possible attempt to compromise security". RRS feed

  • Question

  • At work, there's another server in a different domain and when accessing shares we sometime get the message prompt for credentials and system detected compromised security...etc.  It's very random in nature, although, once the share comes up it then never prompts afterwards for that session.  It's 2008 server win 7 clients.

  • Hi jim_ea,

There's a KB that references firewall settings.  This seems less promsing in a problem that just started after previously working for a long time, unless you replaced a firewall or changed some settings

Please check to see if this article can help:

You receive a "The system has detected a possible attempt to compromise security" error message when you try to include security settings for a user from different domain in a local domain folder

Hope it will be helpful to you
