How to Dual-Boot Windows 7 and Windows 8 RRS feed

  • I have dual boot on one of my laptops. All I did was to create a new partition to Windows 8, then used a Windows 8 DVD (burned from the .iso file). I then installed Windows 8 on my new partition, used "clean install" and it's automatically created a new boot menu there I have a choice starting Windows 7 or Windows 8. It's automatically starts Windows 8 after 30 seconds if I don't click on the OS I want to start.

Can't see how the guide you are using are any simpler then that.

  • Whenever I try to burn the .iso file it tells me it is invalid. I have downloaded it multiple times from Microsoft's website.

  • Hi,

The error indicates Install-WindowsImage.ps1 not correct. I notice it was developed from MSDN site on 2009. I suggest you change another method to install Windows 8 and Windows 8 with dual boot.
