how do I create a bootable recovery partition for windows 7 ultimate RRS feed

  • Question

  • I've just brought a notebook and wish to install Win7 ultimate with bootable recovery partition wherein I get an option to "repair your computer" like Dell systems.

Any help will be thankfully acknowledged.

  • The easy answer is that you can't.

What i would do is invest in acronis true image home, or use freeware programs like clonezilla and make a clone of the drive.  Store it on an external device or on a separate partition.  When you need to repair, boot with the boot cd for the tool and use the image.
