Problem printing Windows 7 x64. RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

Recently i'm experiencing an issue with printing. To be clear it's not the print spooler service that stops.

There's a network ticket printer installed on Windows 7 x64, this is a Thermal printer from Sewoo.
This printer works just fine when it does, however sometimes at random the printing queue just stops.
Not the spooler service, just the print queue.

    When i go to :

Start->Devices and Printers->double click the printer.

I can see print tasks in there, when right click and select 'restart' on the task that says printing it continues like nothing happened. We have no explanation for the issue, eventvwr shows nothing.

    What i tried :

    - Reinstalled the drivers.
    - Deleted drivers manually from : %windir%\system32\spool\drivers\x64\3 (And anything that was left from uninstall).
    - Tried different drivers/versions.

  • It looks like a problem with drivers or firmware. Does  our printer has Web GUI (check, what's happening during the issue).

I doubt, that it is related to network, but it also worth checking

  • Hi,

    1. Run Printer Troubleshooter to troubleshoot problems preventing printing from completing:

    Control Panel\All Control Panel Items\Troubleshooting\View all\Printer

    2. Reset printer network settings
