WDDM must be disabled for RDP to render after deploying sysprepped 2004 captured image RRS feed

  • Question

  • I wrote up a big thing about this, but it decided to just delete it instead of posting so I'm not doing it again.

Sometime after setting up a reference image on Hyper-V and deploying that image to a domain, something happens that makes WDDM no longer work for RDP on Windows 2004. It has to be disabled on the host through gpedit in order to receive connections that don't immediately disconnect.

    Please fix.
