Windows 8.1 Messed Up My Touch Screen Abilities

  • I just recently upgraded my HP Envy Touchsmart 15t-j000 from Windows 8 to Windows 8.1. I've noticed a few issues with my touch screen since then. When I try to tap on links, or try to minimize a video from full screen, it doesn't work. It will place the mouse over where I tapped, meaning that it recognizes that I am in fact touching it, but for some reason it's not following through with the command.  Also, I was on Facebook and I tried to tap on my notifications it and it didn't work. I had to tap near my name to get it to respond. I'm really upset that this is affecting my computer. If this isn't a way to fix this for a while then is there at least a way I can go back to 8.0 without wiping my computer?

  • Okay, after fiddling with my computer for a while I determined it was a Google Chrome problem. It's all jacked up when I use it on the desktop but if I have it open in Windows 8 mode, it works fine.
