Need assistance on setting permissions for an os migration (SeDebugPrivilege, SeRestorePrivilegem, and SeSecurityPrivilege) RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

How do I set my user account for these permissions in order to perform an os migration?

    SeDebugPrivilege
    SeRestorePrivilegem
    SeSecurityPrivilege

The exact error message from the migration software was:

"This user does not have elevated security privileges for SeDebugPrivilege, SeRestorePrivilegem, and SeSecurityPrivilege."

I did try to run the app "as administrator."

  • Hello,

The real issue is that my administrator accounts do not have the above permissions.

The reason is that the current os was also migrated.

  • Hello,

    The issues was not resolved.

Four (4) Microsoft Support Technicians also could not resolve the issue.

They said that the migration software was at fault.
