WIndows 7 Professional PPTP VPN Connection problem - No network access

  • I use to connect to Office network via RSA EAP PPTP VPN. Its works fine with Windows xp. But from Windows 7, I get no network access for both IPv4 and IPv6. I am able to establish the PPTP connection and getting the ipaddress etc, but, I am unable to connect to any of the servers or ping any of ipaddress. PS : The same works fine with Windows xp.

  • What is the error message when you connect to servers after connecting via VPN?

Please enter ipconfig/all and paste the result in your next post.

Also please paste the result of “route print” command.

I suspect that he issue is caused by IPv6 because your VPN server or ISP does not support it properly. You may try to completely disable IPv6 via Registry, or uncheck the “Use default gateway on remote network” option in the properties of IPv6 of the VPN connection.
