Windows Credentials, Persistence and Problem Mounting Network Drives at Login

  • Windows 8 PRO, 1 administrator and 2 users. Administrator's credentials get persistence:enterprise for all network devices. Users on the other hand get persistence:enterprise only for some network devices (NMT) but not for others (NAS Synology DS413) = session only. The consequence being only shared folder on NMT gets mounted at login but shared folders on NAS dont and users need to enter username and password to access NAS each time they login. Ticking remember or using Credential Manager dont work. This used to work on Vista. Is there something I am missing? Thank you.

  • To answer my own question: now, for unknown reason, using credential manager works. Persistence = enterprise and username & password are remembered. Really no clue why this hasnt worked before.
