  • Question

  • Can I have both Windows Setup and OBEE in the same unattend.xml file or should it be two differents files, one for Windows Setup and one for OBEE?

  • Assuming you are talking about the OOBE.XML, which is a little different than the OS installer unattend.xml file.

    https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-hardware/manufacture/desktop/configure-oobexml

Creating the unattend.xml file using SIM, can contain some of the OOBE settings for OEM info. You could still use the OOBE.XML file to fill in the remaining items or target different regions.

  • Hi,

What do you mean about the "OBEE"/"OOBE"?

The components section of an answer file contains all the component settings that are applied during Windows Setup. Components are organized into various configuration passes: windowsPEofflineServicinggeneralizespecializeauditSystemauditUser, and oobeSystem
