  • kohdesmond,

Really, that's an Internet Explorer 8 question, and not a Windows 7 question. However...

There are several reason why. Sometimes those files are in the 'Temp' directory, since the webpage calls another program to play them. Other times the websites are coded to delete those files as soon as they are not in use as a form of DRM.

  • nope can't find any

it appear that the music file played in win 7 is streaming it instead of copying a file inside the temp or temp internet folder like vista or xp

  • I just started using Win7 and also I notice a lack of temp files.  Some are there, but nothing big enough like video or mp3s.  Many cookies are also missing.  Vista and XP always have at least 2,000 files after a half hour of browsing, but with Win7 there is never more than 600.  I have been searching all sorts of folders and setting for an answer.
