Add same route to second IP V6V4 tunnel with netsh RRS feed

  • Question

  • I create two IPV4V6 tunnels the follwing way (W7 or W10)

    netsh interface ipv6 add v6v4tunnel interface=IP6Tunnel1 IPaddrme DestinationIP1

    netsh interface ipv6 add v6v4tunnel interface=IP6Tunnel2 IPaddrme DestinationIP2

     Then I add a route to the tunnels:

    netsh interface ipv6 add address IP6Tunnel1 2005:1::1

    netsh interface ipv6 add address IP6Tunnel2 2005:1::1

    The second command responds with; the object already exists.

    The first tunnel receives a ping (ICMPv6) for 2005:1::1 request and responds with a reply.

    The second tunnel receives the ping but  has no responds found.

    How do I create the same IPv6 address for both routes?

    I see fe80 and fe00 have a route to all gateways how do I do the same?

  • Hi,

    From the error, seems that it is viewed as the same route, so it said"it has already exist"

    Firstly, try to move the two route, and use the command below to list the current statue.

    rount print -6

    Add one route each time, then type the command rount print -6 to see the changes.

  • Problem solved. It needed forwarding on the tunnels. This set disabled by default.
