Blue Screen Windows 7 - BUGCODE_USB_DRIVER USBPORT.SYS RRS feed

All replies

  • Hi Gilardino,

According to your dump files, the error is caused by usbport.sys and Winusb.sys. I suggest that we could try update the motherboard and USB driver to the latest version from manufacturer official website. Then we could try reset the BIOS. Also we could try replace the file from a same version computer.

If these steps don’t work, please perform an In-Place Upgrade to repair. Refer to the link below to follow the steps.

Hope it will be helpful to you.

  • Go to your computer manufacture's support web site and check for Windows 7 drivers for your specific make and model number.

If there are Windows 7 drivers, then download to a folder on your hard drive and install all of them, starting with the Motherboard/chipset drivers, LAN, Audio, USB, Graphics, SATA, Webcam, Etc., and so on.

  • Related to WinUSB.sys Windows USB Class Driver BETA from Microsoft.  It is the actual hardware not the driver.  It needs to be replaced You also have a 2008 Cisco VPN driver that urgently needs updating

Completely remove the current driver (or software) and install the newest driver available.  For instructions on how to do that Read all about updating drivers by my partner JMH3143 here http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/wiki/windows_other-hardware/updating-a-driver/a5e6345e-af9b-4099-bef0-8d22254aa1c1?tm=1436753520149
