  • After you buy the license you call microsoft to obtain the downgrade keys.

  • Hi,

with your windows server 2016 license you may downgrade to windows 2008 enterprise edition but in VLSC Portal you have access ONLY to N-2 versions: 2012 6 2012 R2. microsoft d'ont offers donwgrade keys for 2008 R2, 2008. However, if you have an existing media + key for 2008 enterprise you can use it for installing the enterprise edition instead of 2016 license.

for confirmation & more details contact microsoft licensing support or your reseller.

    thanks
