Disable Properties button in Lan Settings in XP

    Question

  • Hello...

I have this problem, i want to disable the button Properties on the LAN connections so the settings can't be change, I know I can just change the user to restricted, but i need the account to be an Administrator account, the problem is that my users already know how to change the IP address in order to connect to the Internet.

So I already do a little research in google and microsoft and it says i need to go to the gpedit.msc and go to "Navigate to User Configuration, Administrative Templates, Network, and then select Network Connections" but my computers doesn't have the "Network Connections" folder, so I try in regedit going to "HKCU -> Software -> Microsoft -> Windows -> CurrentVersion -> Policies -> Network" and again i don't have the "Network" options, so I create under Policies the "key" "Network"... and the "DWORD" "NoNetSetup" and restart the PC... but it just doesn't work.

Any idea???... I really really need this... BTW all the clients are WinXP.

    Thanks in advance!!!!
