I am using my laptop with Windows Vista Business and during the last few months, my internet connection keeps dropping (which comes up "local only" then I would access the internet for a short time before dropping off again. I am getting really frustrated
and is there a way to resolve this problem?
Are you connecting wireless or cabled? As the pervious post said try re-installing the drivers for your network card. Also check the DHCP settings on your card(s). If using cabled check that your card is set to use the correct speed etc to the router i.e.
100Mbps full duplex or auto-negotiate. If you're using wirless check those speed settings too. 802.11 etc. Good luck. Barry
