  • I see that the game is from 2003.

EA doesn't offer any advice for Win7, but for Vista, they suggest setting the game to run with Administrator privileges and in XP mode.

Maybe that'll help it run under Win7.

You also have to give it a pass under the Windows Firewall if you wish to play online, but it sounds like you haven't gotten that far.

  • Hi WildRaider68,

I noticed that many other Generals zero hour users are having the same issue. Please first confirm if there is any update patch for this game. Also, please run this game with Administrator privileges and in XP mode as bobkn.

If the issue persists, it is recommended contact the game manufacturer directly. Besides, you can post a thread in this game's forum HERE.

    Regards,

    Linda

  • I have that game around here in a binder, I will dig it out and see if I can get it to work. Got other period games working so I should be able to get Zero up too.

Waiting on a new video card, so I am not rushing to test games. The x600 is not suitable for games.

  • I installed the game fine, and the expansion. No problems. I do suggest searching EA's site for any updates. I did not use any but the game does work.

I have updated my video card to a HD 2400, somewhat better but still need to scrape up some coin for a better one.
