We would like to store more than 255 characters for the multi choice field/multi lookup field and Kindly help.

Hi,
In my test, I use SharePoint 2010 SP2(14.0.7015.1000), and I can store more than 255 characters for the multiple lookup field.
Please try to update the latest CU of the SharePoint 2010 to check if it works.
Or try to create a new custom list to check if you can store more than 255 characters for the multiple lookup field.

Hi,
As a workaround, we can use a separate list for the options and a lookup field that points to that list and allows multiple values.
