Lost my bitlocker key RRS feed

Answers

  • If you do not have the password or recovery key you will NEVER be able to recover the data.  It would not be much of an encryption program if someone could hack into it, would it?

    NEVER use bitlocker.

  • Hi felix8803,

If both the recovery key and the Bitlocker Password is lost, then you’ll need to restore the PC to factory default settings.

    More information, see:

    http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-8/bitlocker-recovery-keys-faq

Contact Microsoft or the manufacturer can't help to gain access to the drive, unless you have the Bitlocker Recovery key or the password.

    Regards
