  • Question

  • Currently on Windows 1903 Build 18362.476.

Noticed a couple of weeks ago that the start up had changed, desktop comes up complete, rather than starting and then loading the Taskbar. Have checked the settings in System/ Power& Sleep, but they have not changed.

    1. Is the desktop being saved at shut down?.

    2. Can I stop this.

    3. Where is it saving to?

  • Hello,

It may possible that system is not being Shut down. Please run Power troubleshooter from Settings app > Update & security > Troubleshoot. Let us know what it reports back.

Also check, if you've Fast startup enabled. See if turning it off makes a difference in situation:

Let us know if this helps!
