Recent changes to Windows 10 RRS feed

  • Currently on Windows 1903 Build 18362.476.

    Noticed a couple of weeks ago that the start up had changed, desktop comes up complete, rather than starting and then loading the Taskbar. Have checked the settings in System/ Power& Sleep, but they have not changed.

    1. Is the desktop being saved at shut down?.

    2. Can I stop this.

    3. Where is it saving to?

  • Kindly confirm the following scenarios:Do you experience the same:

    #in Safe mode?

    #if you create a new user account with same privileges?

    #in Clean boot state?

  • For a laptop pc,open power options/set to: when the lid is closed,the pc is shutdown..The BIOS has similar settings

    Also,with the Microsoft/Windows 1903 upgrade,you need to install the MB controller software/drivers,youre pc mfg should have all,or go to the pc MB hardware mfg (Intel/AMD/etc).Start up options can be had thru:  Msconfig

    type it in run....

    It may possible that system is not being Shut down. Please run Power troubleshooter from Settings app > Update & security > Troubleshoot. Let us know what it reports back. 

    Also check, if you've Fast startup enabled. See if turning it off makes a difference in situation:
