System files possibly damaged? RRS feed

  • Question

  • I did the scan using the Command Prompt as stated above and got the following results:

Beginning verification phase of system scan.
    Verification 100% complete.
Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them.
Details are included in the CBS.Log windir\Logs\CBS\CBS.log. For example, C:\Windows\Logs\CBS\CBS.log

My question is, What should I do about this? It seems that some system files are damaged that I cannot repair? I'm pretty sure it's the reason why one of my games keeps bugging.

  • Hi,

Follow Mr X's reply to do a repair, this could be an easy way to fix this issue.

After the repair, run SFC again to verify the results.

If the system files were fixed, but the game you mentioned is still 'bugging', I recommend you check the compatibility about this game, and try install it in compatibility mode.

    Regards,

    Miya
