  • Question

  • Hi Team,

    I see the update is installed via SCCM on one server along with couple of other updates. When i pull the report, the same updates says as needed from one machine. Manually cross checked the update and its installed. Any clue to fix it.

    Win 2012 machine installed KB4520005 but report says still needed.

  • Have you ran the summarization? It can take a little while dependant on the policy refreshes which will show the device as being compliant. Same would go for the actual deployment the summarization schedule will show it being compliant on the device also

  • Initiate the software update and evaluation scan and monitor the below logs

    Scanagent.log

    updatestore.log

    If still showing the same message, you can use the below powershell script to refresh the status message on client machine

    $SCCMUpdatesStore = New-Object -ComObject Microsoft.CCM.UpdatesStore
    $SCCMUpdatesStore.RefreshServerComplianceState()
    New-EventLog -LogName Application -Source SyncStateScript -ErrorAction SilentlyContinue
    Write-EventLog -LogName Application -Source SyncStateScript -EventId 555 -EntryType Information -Message "Sync State ran successfully"

    I see 2 Unique Update ID for the same update in Updatestore.log. in SCCM console > software update group eccf433a is the one listed.

  • Have you tried to installed the specific update manually on server, to check whether its required or not?

  • Hi,

    Based on your scenario, we need to verify that the update KB4520005 has been installed successfully. Please kindly try to run below PowerShell script to get the update KB4520005 status.

    Get-WmiObject -Namespace root\ccm\softwareupdates\updatesstore -Class ccm_updatestatus -Filter "Uniqueid = '<UniqueID>'" | select article, title, status
