  • Question

  • Hi

Using the web, how do I see the public profile of a user who has a Microsoft account live.it or outlook.com or outook.it?

    Thanks

  • Hi Balubeto,

If you just sign in a local account with the Microsoft account, the profile is still that local account profile located in %systemdrive%\Users.

If you are create a standalone Microsoft account, Windows would create a local user profile name with shortened in a random way.

And you could find the profile information from the registry entry below:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList\S-1-5********

If you want to see the files on your computer sign in with a Microsoft account, use OneDrive Fetch feature. The OneDrive Fetch files feature allows you to access all your files on a PC that you sign in to with a Microsoft account from any computer by going to the OneDrive website. You can even access network locations if they're included in the PC's libraries or mapped as drives. When you browse a PC's files remotely, you can download copies of them to work on. You can also stream video and view photos in a slide show.
