Windows 10 Camera and Microphone Problem RRS feed

  • Question

  • We have few laptops that cannot detect camera and microphone. The drivers are working file and enabled from device manager. These are my findings:

    1. The "Allow app to access your camera" in privacy settings is missing. The screen shot below is from a computer with working camera.

    2. Camera is not found in the start menu unlike those with working camera

  • Hello,

Which Windows version you're on? Did you previously removed Camera app package from system? Try to search for Camera app, and see if you can locate it.

    Regards.

  • Are these gadgets made by Dell by any chance?

Dell users have reciprocated such behaviour happening to them on their Dell system.

It seems to be hardware issue of a particular manufacturer.
