On opening the site mentioned in log file I get certificate error "NET::ERR_CERTIFICATE_TRANSPARENCY_REQUIRED". on chrome, Edge (chromium based) and curl as well. But download an environment.cab file from Edge and Internet Explorer.

Analyze the site the same on https://www.ssllabs.com/ssltest/analyze.html?d=slscr.update.microsoft.com  which report same issue.

Tried all sort of method mention on Net to reset Windows Update, nothing worked. Due to same windows store is also not updating Apps as it also connects to windows update site.

    Please help.

  • Open Command Prompt as Admin and type the following command and hit the Enter key:

    net stop wuauserv

Next, open a File Explorer window and navigate to C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution . Delete all the files in the folder

Return to the Command Prompt window, type the following, and hit Enter:
    net start wuauserv

  • Tried this as well. Even deleted catroot2 folder contents. As I said tried many options. Can you check if Windows Update Server certificate can cause issues?
The issue seems similar to discuss https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/all/windows-update-and-microsoft-store-downloads/cb7db619-70ab-4aef-b89c-8b3e89b1289a.

But I don't have any entries under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Cryptography\Configuration\SSL\00010002.

I see a lot of entries under

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Cryptography But these seems to be OK.

Is there a way to get more details log file? I can post that as well.

  •  curl "HTTPS://slscr.update.microsoft.com/SLS/{9482F4B4-E343-43B6-B170-9A65BC8

curl: (60) SSL certificate problem: unable to get local issuer certificate
    More details here: https://curl.haxx.se/docs/sslcerts.html

curl failed to verify the legitimacy of the server and therefore could not
establish a secure connection to it. To learn more about this situation and
how to fix it, please visit the web page mentioned above

  • If reset Windows update component doesn’t work.

Try to turn off Temper Protection for test.

  • Hi,

I am still facing update issue. Both Microsoft Update and Store are unable to update windows/app. The log file is as above. As a workaround, I am able to install Windows update via Update Catalog. But for Store I don't have workaround.

I have tried a lot of different suggestion mentioned in internet, but none seems to solve the issue.

  • Try to use a clean 1909 iso to in-place upgrade current system, which can be download from Microsoft media creation tool
