  • Hi,

This could be related to disable SMBv1 and the error appears "The Workstation service depends on the SMB 1.x MiniRedirector service which failed to start because of an error: The service cannot be started. either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices associated with it."

Since SMBv1 is not safe enough, Microsoft recommend to disable it, and at the same time, then the dependency on MRxSMB10 needs to be removed from the entry for LanmanWorkstation so that it can start normally without requiring MRxSMB10 to first start.

Please do these registry key settings on your PC:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\mrxsmb10

Set Registry entry: Start REG_DWORD: = Disabled

     HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\LanmanWorkstation

Set Registry entry: DependOnService REG_MULTI_SZ: “Bowser","MRxSmb20","NSI"
