Can GPO set Auto Archive to "apply to all folders" RRS feed

  • Hi All,

    I use the "Auto Archive" to save mailbox size, but the user new one a a sub foldeer, they have to do set auto archive again. It's too unaccecpted.

    Is it possible to manage & apply this setting via GPO? we're using outlook2010.

  • Hi,

    I'm afraid the autoarchive settings on folder can't affect its subfolder. AutoArchive feature in outlook is designed based on each "Folder".

    Folders in outlook are not the same as folders in the file system for the OS. There are no folders in Outlook's database, just a group association for a set of records. So it hasn't conception of subfolder. Hence we can't make autoarchive setting automatically take effect on every subfolder of the folder which we set, even with group policy.
