It seems that Wi-Fi direct is a feature of Windows 8.
I can find the virtual Wi-Fi direct adapter through ipconfig /all, but I can't find how to enable or use it.
Who can tell me?

Wi-Fi Direct is a new peer-to-peer device connectivity technology that enables high-bandwidth sharing of media and content between devices without requiring a separate Wi-Fi access point.
It is like bluetooth except much faster.
I haven't seen how this has been actually implemented and I don't know if Microsoft is using this technology presently but I've been using the Samsung ANDROID Wifi Direct for a long time already.
Those two links give some overview and some background info about WiFi Direct but are of absolutely no use in learning how to get it to work in practical terms, on a PC.
What we users need are the step-by-step instructions on how to enable and use WiFi Direct on our PC's.
