Using MS-DOS software in Windows 7

    Question

  • We have several DOS applications that we do not want to discontinue.  Can we upgrade to Windows 7 without a problem?

  • My experience is that my compiled and assembled programs from the mid 1980s run perfectly well in x86 (32-bit) but not in x64 (64-bit). I receive the message 'Unsupported 16-bit Application'.

  • Natively it is not supported. You may try DOSBox.
