  • You might see ”some” activity on the disks/network but it depends if there’s been a lot of changes done between the last synchronization and the time for creating a recovery point.

In general it’s barely noticeable, if you do an express full backup then there will be more activity.

  • Hello,

Are you talking about file protection?

If you have a synchronization frequency of 15 minutes, modified data is sent to DPM server, then a recovery point is made on DPM server in compliance with your schedule policy , so "no" impact on the protected Server.

    Best regards,

    Leon

  • THanks.

I have recovery point setup for 3 times a day, when recovery point starts, does it impact on the protected server?  As I am assuming when recovery point start the dpm replica will get update with the changes on protected server. while this happening does it hit the performance of the protected server or not?

    THanks
