  • Hi,

How did you save file to an external drive (through file\save as or others)?

What's the format of the file (Outlook, word or others)?

Is it a share file or local file?

Please check if you could save as other file to external drive.

Make sure you have read and edit privilege about the file, try to  save the file and close it. Then copy or send to external drive.

  • Simples. Lot of confusion here.

    1. Shut down MS Outlook.

    2. Navigate to This PC > Local Disc (C:) > Users > *Name of your computer" > AppData > Local > Microsoft > Outlook

    3. Up willl come your list of email boxes on Outlook (Shown as Outlook Data Files)

(Another way is to open Outlook and 'Open File Location' from LH click on email box list - then SHUT DOWN Outlook) (*File locations will still show in pop up box of file locations)

    4. LH Click mouse to 'COPY' file.

    5. Paste it to the folder or place on remote drive or whatever you are saving it on.

Voila. All done. (It worked just fine for me on W10 version at 11 Nov 2019...)
