32 bit and 64 bit RRS feed

  • I run windows 7 pro 64 bit can i run 32 bit software on my system. i am sure that some of my software is already 32 bit but i can not get this to run. On setup it asks to go to properties select windows xp sp3 and use as administrator but can not see if able to load in 32 bit.

    Why would you want to?  If your hardware can run 64 bit it can run 32 bit.  No idea what you mean by "seclect windows XP SP3" other than it is compatibility but that isnt needed here,

    You will have to format the system and re-install everything.

    Yes, as mentioned by Team Zigzag, most programs designed for the 32-bit version of Windows will work fine on the 64-bit version of Windows. What errors shown up? If this is caused by compatibility, then as you mentioned before, use compatibility mode when install the software, or run the software in an old Windows version in a virtual machine.

    Such as XP mode
