LAN with router handing out default gateways .1 and .2 (for example). We want to force default gateway .3. In Windows XP, we were able to set the default gateway to .3 and it would automatically ignore default gateways being handed out by DHCP (i.e. .1 and
.2). We have not been able to do this in Windows 7 yet. We've even tried hardcoding the .3 and set the metric to 1 and still end up going through .1 and .2.
All research so far has lead to dead threads with no solutions...but these threads are all old. Just wondering if there is a solution yet...?
