Where is the Image Burning program located in Windows 7? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Where is the Image Burning program located in Windows 7? I did a quick search of Windows, System32, and other areas of the operation system, and can't find the program. Nero (naturally) took over my computer and I want to associate .cue files with this program (even though i know it won't burn them, I just hate the Nero icon). THANKS!

  • The program you seek is called isoburn.exe which is located in %windir%\system32.

If you invoke the program manually, you will see the help/usage dialog box as the application requires certain arguments prior to presenting the user with the GUI.

  • Hello,

Double-click an ISO, and Windows 7 opens a minimalistic dialog: choose a burner, select whether or not to verify your burn, and burn/cancel.

    I hope this helps.
