will the RPEnabled registry value or 7-style option return? (RTM, not preview editions) RRS feed

  • Question

  • as many have posted about on here, the dev preview had a registry value that could be toggled to provide a windows 7 style start button.  i'm currently testing the windows 8 pro (and enterprise) RTM but that registry value is no longer present anywhere.  it was nice to have that option before, and would definitely go a long way should i choose to deploy windows 8 on my network so my users don't hunt me down and stuff me into a server box trying to re-learn the UI without a start button.  i like the UI, and see how it would work very well on a touch interface, i think other tech managers in this crowd would agree that they have a lot of users very resistant to change and not very tech-adaptable.

so then, i pose the question flat out - will MS be providing this option via patch or update after the official release windows 8 pro release?
